A few bits and pieces to dig into this month. First up, if you added the Curseborne Tasty Bits Omnibus to your rewards during the campaign, you will have received a redemption link to claim your copy sent out from our Pledge Manager on January 31st. The World Below: Buried Treasures
The World Below is a game of adversity, heroism, terror, and awe. Our first update of 2026! The past few months have been pretty exciting for Curseborne, with the core rulebook PDF releasing on DriveThru and the game out to the world beyond just us cool backers. But there's a lot more coming for Curseborne in 2026!
Obviously, the most exciting thing will be the eventual release of the Curseborne Player's Guide in the fall, along with the projects that we've helped fund through our Kickstarter support (see the Pending projects below), but in his latest Monday Meeting notes, Rich also mentioned:
- Curseborne Solo Guidebook
- Seattle: City of Curses
- "Big Project" coming for October
- Curseborne Community Content Guidelines in the Proofing Queue
All exciting and intriguing stuff. I have no idea what the "big project" for October could be ... I thought it might have been the Seattle book that was announced in last year's Onyx Path Con, but they're mentioned alongside each other so... hmmm...
I look forward to finding out more info in the coming months, and probably lots of fun stuff in this year's annual Onyx Path virtual convention in the summer. I will, of course, share any info that comes my way!

The Tasty Bits Compilation is coming together much quicker than I'd anticipated, though they're still working to make the formatting work for all entries. I'll share more info each month as it comes in.

December 2025 Update

Hello Accursed,
I'm taking a quick break in the middle of my holiday vacation to get out our last update of 2025, and the first of our regular monthly check ins. As a reminder, I'll be posting these updates once a month, just to check in on the various projects from the Kickstarter campaign and make sure we're all in the loop and on the same page. For many months, they'll be pretty boring - just a note that the Onyx Path team are "still working on it" and we'll see only incremental progress. Still, I find it's better to touch base once a month even if we don't have any big news than to wait in silence while we all wonder what's going on.
So let's get to it!

2025 Curseborne Releases
Obviously, the big release for the year is our Curseborne core rulebook, but there's been a lot of fun support for this new game over 2025, and even more exciting things to come in 2026. If you Added On the Tasty Bit Compilation PDF to your Curseborne Player's Guide pledge (either during the camapign, or in the Pledge Manager since), all of those Tasty Bits will be compiled and part of your reward later this year, so look forward to that. Or, if you're impatient like me, you can purchase them all individually to use right now!
Rewards Still Pending
There's a lot of stuff on this list! Our main reward, the Curseborne Player's Guide PDF, standard and deluxe hardcover, along with the Print-on-Demand option, is all part of that first line, and those various formats will be rewarded at different stages near the end of the production side. Right now, we can see that the manuscript is in an editing pass where the team are using your feedback submissions to help guide it to the final development pass.
In addition, the first draft of our stretch goal fiction is underway!
I'll post this chart in each monthly update, and fill in dots as projects move along.

Pledge Manager Surveys Coming This Week!

We finished up the Kickstarter portion of our campaign just over three weeks ago with a successful run, adding many backers and a few fun stretch goals. Now it's time to start the next phase of the project - the Post-Campaign, where we track the progress of the various projects we helped fund and send out rewards as they become available.
To help with all of that we use BackerKit's Pledge Manager.

BACKER SURVEYS
Over the next handful of days (Nov 25-Nov 28), you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your Pledge Manager survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey invitation link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available in the next few days via email!
The e-mail will have a button that looks something like this:
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts, and that won't happen until the books are being printed and we're preparing to ship.

If there are any issues you find with the Pledge Manager, please contact me as soon as possible to let me know. It rolls out in waves so that I can correct issues on the fly and make it work as best possible as people come on board.
it's been a busy few weeks, and the chances of a few errors in the Pledge Manager set up are ... greater than zero ... so let me know if you see something off and I'll fix it as quickly as possible.
Within the BackerKit Survey and Pledge Manager, you can:
- Review your Pledge Tier Selection and Rewards
- Upgrade your Reward Tier pledge selection
- Confirm Add On selections
- Set up payment information for any failed payments from the Kickstarter campaign or to pay for any new Add On options selected.

Start Your Survey, confirming pledge rewards, confirming or selecting new Add On options, and confirming any shipping and payment info that may be needed
- Switch Your Pledge Level
If you've pledged to a reward tier that includes physical rewards, you can enter your shipping country at this stage. As noted during our campaign, we haven't set shipping costs yet - those will be calculated and added in when we're preparing to ship the book. That won't be for a long time, though, and there will be plenty of opportunity - and notice - for you to make changes.
If you click on your Pledge Level, you will see a list of all items included in your Pledge Rewards (including Stretch Goals and the Draft Manuscript), and also have the option to switch your Pledge Level, in case you've decided to get the hardcover pledge instead of the PDF-only pledge tier for example.
Once you've confirmed that your Pledge Level is correct and where you want it to be, you can GET STARTED with your BackerKit Pledge Manager Survey.
Later this week - by Friday November 28th if not earlier - I'll be working on fulfilling rewards that are available now - like the titles included in our Add On section (for example, The World Below PDF, and the draft manuscripts for the pre-order titles). More importantly, for those who pledged to a tier that included the Curseborne core rulebook PDF - or those who selected it as an Add On option - we'll get those redemption links out to you by the end of the week.
So, in summary:
- Look for an e-mail invitation to Richard Thomas / BackerKit's Pledge Manager sometime over the next 1-3 days
- Get Started on your survey
- Confirm your Pledge Level (or SWITCH your Pledge Level if you want to change it)
- Confirm and Select Any Add On options
- Confirm Your Shipping Information (if needed)
- Confirm Your Payment Information (if needed)
We'll have another update before the end of the year where I'll go over all of this again and post reminders about any rewards distributed thus far (basically, the draft manusript and available Add On options).
DRAFT MANUSCRIPT
Looking in the example pledge list above, you can see a listing for the Draft Manuscript. In your BackerKit digital rewards page, you will have access to the compiled draft manuscript. It won't be different from the version I shared a few weeks ago, just everything compiled in the correct order. The Draft Manuscript link may not be active when you first login to your BackerKit survey, but I'll throw the switch and it'll send you a notice before the end of the week after all of the invitations have gone out.
I will talk about how to access your BackerKit digital rewards links in next month's update when I go over all of this again.
COMING NEXT
Before the end of December, I'll send another update going over this one more time and going over how to access your BackerKit digital rewards page again. In January 2026, we'll start our regular monthly check-ins, tracking the progress of this project as it moves through this phase. It'll take some time, but we'll have regular updates all through the process. I'll also have notes on how to check the weekly and monthly All Project Progress updates on Onyx Path's website.

Infernals: Crowned by Hellfire

WE DID IT!
Over the past 31 days, nearly 1,100 backers came together and helped this project achieve over 215% of it's base funding target, enabling the Onyx Path crew to add additional rewards (like more fiction and an adventure scenario!) plus other Onyx Path staples like a backer T-shirt, and digital wallpapers.
But the most important thing...
The CURSEBORNE PLAYER'S GUIDE!!!
As you know, this game line has been in the works at Onyx Path for some time. It's great to see this first big supplement get all of this love and support, launching just a week after the backer PDF of the corebook went out to backers. I've been reading the draft rules for the past year and digesting the backer PDF for the past month, but I can't get enough of the amazing setting and any chance I can get to learn more of the deep lore is a ride I'm happy to take! Some backers are already building characters using these new options, and there's been tons of Venerator talk online.
Regardless of your motivation, you've joined in on this Kickstarter campaign to help Onyx Path support their new game line and celebrate Curseborne!
And, as a bonus, we unlocked SIX Stretch Goals! We unlocked that last one within the past hour! Right down to the wire!
